Tablets are the new attraction for tech geeks. After Apple introduce iPad in 2007 tablets has proved its potential and has taken on desktops and laptops. The success of Apple prompted all the hardware manufacturers to join the show. Ever since Apple launched iPad there has been a slight dipping in desktops selling rate. Tablets by Samsung, HTC, Amazon are putting up fight with Apple and to add to that tally everyday new tablets are launched. Acer, the well known laptops manufacturer has announced a new device, the Iconia Tab. The company has released a solid specification sheet of the device. The key features of this device are quad-core processor, 10.1-inch screen and twelve hours continuous playback.
The device is now available for pre order at price $449.99. For now people in US and Canada can order for this new device. The price of this tablet is $50 less than the third generation tablet iPad. It will run on Google’s newest platform Ice Cream Sandwich. Other important aspect of this device is its 1280×800 pixel resolution, 1 GB RAM, HDMI port connection port for HDTV. It has a built storage capacity of thirty two GB and has micro SD slot for extension of another 32 GB.
