Unless your kids automatically eat vegetables, you are probably a parent trying to figure out how to get your kids to eat their vegetables when it is the last thing they’d like to eat. That is without a meal time battle. It does not take a whole lot of vegetables to get kids the serving of vegetables they need. And there are a number of ways to do it.
Does your child like salad at all? Something cool about salad is that there is no real wrong way to make it. You can have your child help you make it. In fact if you grow any of your own vegetables in your yard you can use the vegetables you have been growing together to make your salad. This may even entice your child to eat the vegetables.
Get a couple of different salad dressings such as ranch, or try something with your child and see what they do with it.
Get decorative with vegetables and fruit. Make a smile face with celery sticks, peanut butter and raisins or peanut butter chips.
You could also chop vegetables up really small or grind them up and blend them with mashed potatoes or another dish you plan to make such as macaroni and cheese.
