Windows and Nokia haven’t been making a good combination when it comes to smartphones. In the past, Nokia was on top of the world for many years with it innovative phones, but now it looks almost as if the company is on its last legs. Much will depend on the success of its Lumia 900, which is to be launched next month.
The need for this phone to succeed is understood by both Windows and Nokia. The phone is going to be released via the AT&T network with an intense marketing campaign to wow consumers and get them talking.
Currently, all the talk is about the iPhone and its competitors, while Nokia has fallen to the wayside.
In the mobile market, Windows haven’t had much success at all with most of their software falling well behind Apple’s iOS or the Android platform.
One of the issues with Windows based smartphones is the lack of apps available and the difficult of designing apps for the platform.
It is hoped that stronger software and a better database of apps will aid in the resurrection of Nokia.
