Not all families celebrate Easter the same way. Some like to have their kids dress up, decorate Easter eggs, and then on the “big day” they find the Easter eggs that parents hid.
They are really into making a big celebration out of the Easter bunny to bring some magical memories into their child’s life. Other families are aware of all of the Easter egg fun, but they keep a more faith-based approach on Easter.
That means recognizing that while it is fun to get chocolate treats for Easter, and look for hidden Easter eggs, there is a bigger reason behind the holiday. That is the resurrection.
The Resurrection is about Jesus dying on the cross and rising on the third day to save us from our sins. This is what many church goers believe and go to church to celebrate.
There are those who make an extra point to go to church on this day when they wouldn’t normally go to church – all which are personal choices. It is great to go to church.
So going on Easter is not a bad start. One nice, common thing about Easter is how it brings family together to celebrate love and enjoy food.
