Gearbox has revealed at their PAX East panel that Borderlands 2 will feature a new class called Mechromancer and character customization.

Players will have to earn new wardrobe to customize their characters with through missions and challenges. Items like gear, costume pieces, and custom heads will be available for the player. Players of the first Borderlands will get an exclusive head and skin.

No details on the Mechromancer as its yet to be developed other than it will be offered as a post-launch DLC. She is a mix of human and machine and controls a giant robot named D374-TP aka Deathtrap. Those that pre-order the game will get her for free, no date or pricing was announced however. A special edition set was also revealed that will retail at $149.99 and is packaged in a loot box that are commonly found in the game world.
