The World Ends With You was definitely one of the great highlights of Nintendo’s previous handheld, the Nintendo DS. Characters from the game will be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS.
Square Enix legend, Tetsuya Nomura; who are among the lead designers for both games have hinted at a possible sequel for The World Ends With You in an interview with Nintendo Dream.
He stated the character Raimu/Rhyme of The World Ends With You did not have any dialogue in that game but they decided to give her a voice for KH3D “out of consideration of the future of The World Ends With You series.”
“Regarding The World Ends With You, I can’t say anything at present. But there probably is something.” Nomura said with a laugh.
