Juventus needed the win and AC Milan the loss and boy did it come for the much loved Italian Serie A side “Juventus” who claimed their 3rd star and 28th Serie A title.
Juventus defeated Cagliari Calcio 2-0 whilst AC Milan lost to Inter 4-2.
It has been a long 9 year wait for the champs to win and boy did they win in style, not only did they take the win but they did it undefeated. Last week uefa.com reported here that Milan were close to Juventus and they were but this win pushes Juventus 4 points clear with only one game left to play. Enough to be crowned.
Mirko Vučinić gave Antonio Conte’s side the perfect start after only six minutes of play!
“It’s a fantastic feeling, a great joy after a wonderful year and an extraordinary season,” said Conte. “The lads fully deserved this Scudetto and so do our great fans. The achievement is even bigger because we defeated a great side like Milan in the run towards the Scudetto. We have not lost in 37 games and we hope to finish the season undefeated because it will be something historical.”
A big congratulations to the 2012 Serie A champs, i’m looking forward to see how long they can keep up this undefeated streak. Only time will tell i guess.
